Administrative detainees continue their boycott of occupation courts

Sunday 12-June-2022

500 Palestinian administrative detainees continue their boycott of the Israeli occupation courts for the 163rd day Sunday to demand an end to the administrative detention policy.

The boycott of the occupation courts causes confusion in the administration of the occupation’s prisons so they usually take punitive measures against detainees such as denial of visits and renewed administrative detention.

The administrative detainees had taken the collective position of declaring the comprehensive boycott of all judicial proceedings relating to administrative detention (judicial review appeal supreme).

Administrative detention is detention without charge or trial and without allowing the detainee or his lawyer to get acquainted with the alleged charges in clear violation of the provisions of international humanitarian law. Israel is the only government in the world that adopts this policy.
