After 15 months of administrative detention the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) on Thursday released Palestinian lawmaker and senior Hamas official Hasan Yousef.
Owais Hasan said the IOA released his father at the Jeep military checkpoint near Ramallah instead of letting his relatives and friends receive him outside the Ofer prison as everyone expected.
The Israeli occupation forces had kidnaped Hasan Yousef from his home in Beitunia town west of Ramallah on April 2 2019 before a military court ordered his detention administratively with no trial or indictment.
He had been imprisoned many times before and spent a total of 23 years in different jails. He was one of the Palestinians who were exiled by the IOA to Lebanon in 1992 and later became known as the deportees of Marj al-Zuhur an area in southern Lebanon.
