After long months in Israeli jail Jordanian prisoner arrives in Amman

Thursday 8-March-2018

Jordanian prisoner Ibrahim al-Omlah arrived in Amman on Wednesday after he spent one and a half years in Israeli jails.

Ex-detainee Fadi Farah rapporteur of the Jordanian committee for prisoners and missing citizens stated in a press release that Omlah crossed into the Jordanian territory on Wednesday afternoon after the Israeli prison service released him recently.

Omlah was arrested on August 4 2016 after he visited relatives in the occupied West Bank and was en route to Jordan.

Soon later an Israeli court sentenced him to 16 months in jail and ordered him to pay a financial penalty.
