Al-Azhar Mosque management in Cairo has strongly denounced the “brutal suppression” of Palestinian protesters rejecting the US recognition of Occupied Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
In a press release on Friday al-Azhar management reiterated its support for the Palestinian people in their popular intifada (uprising) for Jerusalem.
It also called on the international community and human rights groups to support the Palestinian people in their legitimate struggle for the liberation of their land.
