Al-Emadi: Qatari grant to be used in humanitarian projects in Gaza

The Qatari ambassador to the Gaza Strip Mohammed al-Emadi said Friday that his country’s grant will be used in humanitarian projects in coordination with the United Nations after Hamas Movement Hamas rejected a cash injection over unacceptable Israeli conditions.

Earlier Thursday Hamas has informed the Qatari Ambassador of its decision to reject receiving the third Qatari humanitarian grant to protest against the Israeli political blackmail.

The grant will be allocated to humanitarian projects in coordination with the United Nations in the Gaza Strip al-Emadi said.

“There are some parties that exploit the Qatari grant for political exploitation” said el-Emadi adding that “the Palestinian people have the right to end their suffering throughout peaceful protests” referring to the weekly anti-Israel marches and protests.

A first package of agreements worth $20 million (17.6 million euros) will be signed with the UN on Monday he told reporters in Gaza City.

He also unveiled that Qatar has invited the Palestinian factions “to join a new round of reconciliation dialogue to end 12 years of internal division.”
