GAZA (PIC)– The armed wing of Hamas Al-Qassam Brigades threatened an “unprecedented response” to any possible attack on al-Aqsa Mosque.
The brigades’ statement was voiced during a festival in support of al-Aqsa Mosque organized by Hamas movement northern Gaza Strip on Friday.
Abu Hamza a spokesman for the brigades said that his combatants will defend Jerusalem al-Aqsa mosque and Palestine till their last breath stressing the Palestinian issue’s importance for the Arab and Islamic Nation.
He called on the Arab and Islamic peoples and the free people of the world to break their silence and to support the Palestinian cause.
The spokesman strongly denounced the “suspicious” media incitement against the Palestinian resistance saying that al-Qassam Brigades will not veer off the resistance path.
Meanwhile Hamas movement organized a sit-in in El-Bireh city in the West Bank as part of the movement’s campaign in support of al-Aqsa Mosque under the title “I have the right to pray in Al-Aqsa.”
Huge numbers attended the sit-in after Friday prayers amid intensive presence of the PA security forces who confiscated banners and placards hoisted during the event in support of the holy mosque.
The Islamic movement said that it had invited all the Palestinian factions to participate in the event as part of the movement’s efforts to ensure the success of the campaign.
