Al-Quds International Institution has called for adopting a national strategy for the protection of Christian real estate in Jerusalem and other areas of Palestine against Israeli Judaization plans.
Director of the institution Yassin Hamoud called during a recent meeting with a Greek delegation for action by the Christian community in Greece to safeguard Christian properties in Jerusalem against Israel’s attempts to take them over.
“Christian properties and mortmain real estate in Jerusalem and occupied Palestine are exposed to massive violations and thefts by the Israeli occupation that seeks to obliterate the Christian civilization in Jerusalem” Hamoud said.
The Greek activists for their part expressed their rejection of all deals that led to the sale and lease of church real estate in Jerusalem and asked for reliable information supplied with evidence about this issue especially with regard to the involvement of Patriarch Theophilos in the affair.
At the end of the meeting the two sides agreed to hold a workshop to best understand the issue and come up with a joint action plan to protect the Christian properties in Jerusalem and other areas of Palestine.
