The Israeli occupation forces on Friday evening deployed in large numbers on Nazareth-Jenin road following an alleged shooting attack at Jalama checkpoint north of Jenin city.
Local sources told the PIC reporter that gunmen believed to be Palestinians opened fire at the checkpoint and fled the area.
The same sources said that the checkpoint has been attacked several times in the recent weeks in view of the escalating tension in the West Bank.
