Senior Hamas official Shaker Amara has condemned the recent arbitrary arrest campaign against cadres and members from his Movement in the West Bank as “a reflection of Israel’s arrogance and moral bankruptcy.”
In press remarks to the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) Amara said that the mass arrest of Hamas officials and members would only make the Movement more determined to resist the occupation and its crimes and increase its ability to stand in the face of all plots.
Describing the recent arrest campaign as “suppressive and punitive” the Hamas official affirmed that the Israeli occupation never stopped for one day arresting and summoning citizens and raiding homes in the West Bank.
He added that Israel arbitrarily arrests and jails citizens for days months or years without any regard to the international law.
