Announcement of International Day for lifting Gaza siege

The International Campaign to Break the Siege on Gaza announced on Tuesday launching the International Day for Lifting the Siege on Gaza on 22nd April to shed light on the suffering of the people of the Gaza Strip under the 11-year blockade and amid the pressures imposed by the Palestinian Authority on them.

The International Day will witness a series of popular and media activities in support of the Gaza Strip in various Arab countries to demand ending the siege improving the humanitarian conditions of Gazans and allowing the entry of food and medical supplies and the travel of patients abroad for treatment.

The International Campaign to Break the Siege on Gaza called for wide participation in the activities of the International Day and asked preachers in all Arab and Islamic countries to talk about the need to support Gaza and break the siege imposed on it.

The International Campaign expressed rejection of all projects aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause stressing the Palestinian people’s rights which include self-determination the establishment of a Palestinian state and the return of refugees.

The Campaign announced solidarity with the Palestinian prisoners in their battle of “empty stomachs” in Israeli jails until they obtain their legitimate rights and demanded ending the Israeli violations against them.
