The Israeli occupation forces afternoon Wednesday kidnapped the anti-occupation activist Muntassar al-Shanar after they kept chasing him down for days.
Al-Shanar’s father Mustafa said his family members and himself were taken aback by a telephone call from the Israeli army informing them of the abduction of their son at a makeshift checkpoint.
The detainee was transferred to the Israeli Petah Tikva detention center pending his questioning. The Israeli forces extended his remand for eight days.
Over recent days the occupation soldiers broke into al-Shanar’s family home in the West Bank as they were searching for Muntassar and threatened to execute him in case he does not turn himself in to the occupation army at the soonest time possible.
