Thousands of Palestinian worshipers performed Friday prayer at al-Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem amid tightened Israeli restrictions.
Al-Aqsa preacher Ismail Nawahda in his Friday sermon condemned recent secret sales of Palestinian property in Jerusalem to Israeli settler groups stressing that Jerusalem is a Waqf (endowment) land that should not be sold at any cost.
Nawahda said that Israel is launching a dangerous campaign against Jerusalem targeting its economy.
He called on Palestinians in other Palestinian territories to intensify their presence in the holy city and al-Aqsa Mosque help revive Jerusalem’s economy and support its people.
Al-Aqsa preacher affirmed that the Palestinian political division and the internal conflicts plaguing the Arab and Muslim world have paved the way for Israel’s settlement and Judaization schemes in Jerusalem.
Nawahda concluded his sermon by condemning Israel’s stepped up aggressions on the Palestinian people in Khan al-Ahmar and the Gaza Strip.
