Arab League condemns Israel’s renewed aggression in Jenin

Thursday 29-September-2022

The Arab League has strongly denounced the renewed Israeli aggression against Palestinian citizens in Jenin City and its refugee camp in the north of the occupied West Bank.

“This aggression comes in the context of the occupation state’s ongoing official war against the Palestinian people” the Arab League said in a statement on Wednesday describing what happened in Jenin as a “heinous massacre” and a “full-fledged war crime.”

The assistant secretary-general for Palestine and the occupied Arab territories affairs at the Arab League Sa’eid Abu Ali held the Israeli government fully and directly responsible for the “bloody raid” in Jenin that ‘involved crimes tantamount to war crimes and crimes against humanity.”

Abu Ali called for an effective international position to force the Israeli occupation state to stop such criminal escalation in the occupied territories.

He also called on the UN and its organizations to break their silence on Israel’s violations and assume their responsibilities to stop its aggression against the Palestinians and hold it accountable for its actions.

Four Palestinian young men were martyred and 44 wounded during a violent Israeli raid on Wednesday in Jenin in the occupied West Bank. Two of those young men were killed when Israeli forces fired a missile at a house.
