The Arab League on Wednesday strongly denounced the ongoing Israeli aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip.
The General Secretariat of the Arab League in an official statement held the Israeli government responsible for the consequences and repercussions of the escalation.
The Arab League said that the Israeli aggression falls in line with thinly-veiled attempts to push the situation in the blockaded Gaza Strip into further deterioration and drag the region into an endless circle of violence.
It called for an immediate and effective international intervention to stop the Israeli attacks and provide protection to the Palestinian civilians living in the Gaza Strip.
