CAIRO (PIC)– The Arab League’s department of Palestine and Arab lands condemned the continued flow of funds from European and American organizations to extremist Jewish societies involved in settlement activities in the occupied Palestinian territories and the occupied Syrian Golan heights.
In a recent report the department said many organizations in the US Britain the Netherlands and other European countries finance and raise funds for Jewish societies working on settlement and Judaization projects in occupied Jerusalem and the West Bank.
In a related context secretary-general of the Jordanian royal commission for Jerusalem affairs Abdullah Kan’an condemned the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) and its municipal council in the holy city for appropriating 300 dunums of Palestinian land of the industrial zone in Al-Jawz neighborhood.
Kan’an said in a press release on Wednesday that the IOA hushed up its decision to seize these tracts of land which was approved on September 20 and announced it only after the 60-day period for submitting objections was over.
The head of the royal commission said this Israeli decision reflected a premeditated intent to Judaize Jerusalem and demanded the international community and the UN to put an end to Israel’s expansionist and aggressive policies in the holy city through setting effective mechanisms forcing Israel to comply with the UN resolutions.
He also called on the US to stop mocking and obstructing the will of the international community through its repeated use of its veto in favor of Israel.
