The general secretariat of the Arab League on Monday warned of the danger of the Israeli continuous attempts to change the historical and legal status of Jerusalem which poses a threat to international peace and security.
“Israel continues to escalate its crimes and violations against the Palestinian people and holy sites including the repeated incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque in addition to arresting its Palestinian defenders” the Arab League said on the 53rd anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Mosque arson attack.
The Arab League stressed that such crimes aim at Judaizing Jerusalem and eliminating its Palestinian identity.
It called on the international community to assume its responsibility and provide legal protection for the Palestinian people in addition to urging Israel to stop its crimes which aim at changing the status quo in Jerusalem.
