Archbishop Atallah Hanna of the Greek Orthodox Church on Thursday morning called on the Palestinian people Christians and Muslims to adhere to national unity for the sake of defending Occupied Jerusalem and the Christian and Islamic holy places.
Hanna told reporters that targeting al-Aqsa Mosque is an unprecedented dangerous move. He called for foiling the Israeli plans that aim at enforcing the temporal and spatial division of al-Aqsa Mosque.
Archbishop Hanna underlined that attacking al-Aqsa Mosque means targeting all of the Palestinian people: Christians and Muslims. He stressed the importance of ending the internal division which Israeli occupation authorities have been taking advantage of in passing its Judaization projects in the city.
