Arrests home break-ins reported in West Bank sweep by Israel army

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Thursday detained scores of Palestinians during predawn raids across the West Bank.

Israeli forces raided the northern West Bank city of Jenin where they detained two ex-prisoners including former cabinet minister Wasfi Qabha.

Two Palestinians were kidnapped by the IOF from Qalqilya. Clashes flared up shortly after Israeli soldiers stormed the city and attacked women.

At the same time the occupation forces kidnapped three Palestinians from Ramallah province and ransacked the home of the head the Birzeit University student council Yehya Abu Rabi’.

Secretary of Fatah Movement Khaled al-Batat was kidnapped by the occupation forces from al-Khalil’s southern town of Dhahriya.

The IOF further ransacked civilian homes in al-Khalil and came down heavily on the brother of ex-prisoner Ahmed Murad leaving him wounded. He was rushed to a hospital shortly afterwards.

The IOF rummaged into Palestinian homes in Halhul Beit Ummar and the Arroub refugee camp before they seized thousands of shekels.

Palestinian citizen Ali Danden and his father were arrested by the occupation forces in Adu Dis town east of Occupied Jerusalem.

Meanwhile dozens of Israeli patrols stormed Nablus and broke into the home of Amjad al-Qat member of the local village council along with the homes of his relatives and subjected the residents to intensive questioning. Clashes burst out in the area.

Several Palestinians were kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Monday in abduction sweeps rocking the West Bank.

The Israeli army claimed responsibility for the abduction of 16 Palestinians on allegations of involvement in anti-occupation activities.

Reporting from Jenin province a PIC news correspondent said five Palestinian young men were kidnapped by the IOF from the area shortly after Israeli soldiers raked through residential neighborhoods and ransacked civilian homes.

At the same time two Palestinian youths were kidnapped by the IOF from their homes in Nablus’s northwestern town of Berka.

Overnight 19-year-old Yousef Afana was kidnapped by Israeli soldiers after he had been subjected to heavy beating for entering territories occupied in 1948.

The IOF also wreaked havoc on Palestinian homes in Qalqilya. Sounds of bullet fire and acoustic bombs were detected in the area all the way through the Israeli assault.

The campaign culminated in the abduction of two Palestinian young men from their family homes in Tulkarem province.

Several Palestinians were kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in a predawn sweep rocking the West Bank and Jerusalem.

The Israeli army claimed in a statement responsibility for the abduction of 19 Palestinians on allegations of involvement in anti-occupation activities.

The Israeli military claimed weapons were detected in Jerusalem’s Abu Dis town following a round of home break-ins carried out in the area.

The IOF also kidnapped seven Palestinians from the southern occupied West Bank province of al-Khalil and nine others from the northern West Bank.

Israeli patrols rolled into Qalqilya and kidnapped the young man Mahmoud Shteiwi from his family home.

The IOF also stormed Qalqilya’s eastern town of Azzoun and kidnapped two Palestinian young men shortly after it wreaked havoc on civilian homes and closed off the main entrances to the town.

Meanwhile the occupation forces ravaged civilian homes in Araq Burin town south of Nablus and also in Jenin province.

The IOF kidnapped two more Palestinians from Ramallah and Salfit.

At the same time three Palestinian young men were kidnapped by the IOF from the Jenin refugee camp.

The campaign culminated in the abduction of nine Palestinians from Occupied Jerusalem seven among whom from al-Issawiya town and two others from the Shu’fat refugee camp.

Several Palestinians were kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at daybreak Sunday in abduction sweeps rocking tension-stricken West Bank provinces.

A PIC news correspondent said four Palestinians among them the Hamas leader Jamal al-Tawil were kidnapped by the IOF from al-Bireh.

Palestinian citizen Alaa Hasan Marar was kidnapped by Israeli soldiers from al-Khalil province.

At the same time fierce clashes flared up in the Arroub refugee camp north of al-Khalil province at the crack of dawn after heavily-armed Israeli patrols rolled into the area and showered civilian homes with live rounds and teargas canisters resulting in several suffocation cases.

The occupation army summoned military reinforcement after an Israeli jeep broke down.
Palestinian anti-occupation youth responded to the attack by hurling Molotov cocktails toward an Israeli military watchtower set up near the main entrance to the camp.

Meanwhile Israeli soldiers kidnapped the Palestinian young man Mohamed Abu Eshkheidam after they broke into his family home south of al-Khalil province and ransacked it.

Young man Seif Roshdi was also kidnapped by the occupation forces from al-Khalil’s northern town of Beit Ummar.

A number of Palestinian young men were kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at predawn Monday in abduction sweeps rocking West Bank provinces.

A PIC news correspondent quoted local sources as stating that the IOF stormed Nablus’s western town of Tel and kidnapped three young men identified as Hasan Aseida 23 Zeid Aseida 19 and Mahmoud Ramadan 19.

Palestinian youngster Emad Banat was also kidnapped by the occupation soldiers from Askar al-Kadeem refugee camp in the city. Omar Samara was kidnapped from the popular neighborhood.

At the same time the Israeli military intensified presence around Nablus city.

Israeli army and police patrols have been spotted at Hawara checkpoint Burin’s entrance and the vicinities of Yitzhar illegal settlement outpost.

A series of flying checkpoints was also set up by the Israeli troops at Einabous crossroads Beita thoroughfare and Beit Furik.

Heavily-armed Israeli patrols further rolled into Qalqilya province in the northern occupied West Bank and ransacked dozens of Palestinian homes in Azzoun town to the east.

The IOF cracked down on Palestinians’ free movement and banned access out of and into the town overnight.

Israeli soldiers attacked Palestinian anti-occupation youngsters with randomly-discharged spates of teargas grenades resulting in several suffocation cases.

Palestinian locals have been made to endure exhaustive interrogation and crackdowns by the occupation forces all the way through the assault.

In the meantime the Israeli military tightened military grip on al-Khalil province in the southern occupied West Bank and sealed off its access roads with makeshift roadblocks where Palestinian drivers have been intensively inspected and searched.

Palestinian ex-prisoner Mootassem al-Natsha the brother of slain Maamoun al-Natsha was kidnapped by the IOF in the assault.
