Arrests home break-ins reported in dawn sweep by Israeli army

Thursday 14-September-2017

A number of Palestinian civilians were arrested by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Thursday morning at makeshift checkpoints surrounding West Bank provinces.

The Israeli soldiers arrested two Palestinian young men in Nablus shortly after they stormed the city and wreaked havoc on civilian homes.

Israeli army troops were caught blowing up the main entrance gates of Palestinian homes sparking terror among children and women.

Palestinian young man Udai Ghawadra was also kidnapped by the IOF from Jenin’s southern town of Beir al-Basha.

At the same time the occupation troops sealed off a thoroughfare into Qabatiya with a flying checkpoint.

The IOF kidnapped a Palestinian youth from Salfit’s western town of Badia and ravaged civilian homes in Kifl Haris.

In the meantime the occupation troops rummaged into commercial shops and a lathe in al-Khalil’s town of Yatta before they kidnapped 49-year-old Badr Id’is and seized 48000 shekels from his home on claims that they were donated by Hamas to reconstruct the family’s demolished home. The captive is the father of life-sentence prisoner Murad Id’is who carried out an anti-occupation attack in Atneil settlement outpost in January 2016. The family home was knocked down by the occupation forces in June 2016.

The Israeli soldiers further handed over interrogation writs to two Palestinians in al-Khalil.

Meanwhile the brother of the slain Palestinian Mohamed Lafi Samer was kidnapped by the Israeli forces from Qalandiya refugee camp. His father was made to endure heavy beating during the assault.

Another young man—Azmi Youssef—was kidnapped by the IOF from the camp.

The sweep culminated in the abduction of two Palestinians from Tulkarem province and another from al-Issawiya town in Occupied Jerusalem.
