Arrests home break-ins reported in predawn sweep by Israeli military

Thursday 21-February-2019

Several Palestinians were arrested and civilian homes ransacked by the Israeli occupation forces in predawn Thursday sweeps launched across the occupied Palestinian territories.

The Israeli army claimed responsibility for the abduction of 17 Palestinians overnight over allegations of involvement in anti-occupation activities.

Full-armed Israeli patrols rolled into Jenin province and raked through residential neighborhoods sparking terror among civilians.

Local sources said sounds of heavy explosions and gunfire were detected for hours across the Jenin refugee camp and other adjacent zones.

The Israeli military also rummaged into civilian homes and kidnapped a number of Palestinians all the way through the assault.

At the same time the campaign targeted Palestinian civilians and ex-prisoners from Nablus Bethlehem and al-Khalil.

Israeli troops also wreaked havoc on dozens of civilian homes and subjected the locals to exhaustive questioning.

The campaign culminated in the abduction of a Palestinian young man from Jerusalem’s northeastern village of al-Issawiya and another from the Qalandiya refugee camp to the north.
