Arrests injuries reported in West Bank sweep by Israeli army

Monday 30-April-2018

Several Palestinians were kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in predawn sweeps rocking the West Bank.

The IOF kidnapped five Palestinians including two ex-prisoners from Nablus shortly after it stormed the city and wreaked havoc on civilian homes.

A Palestinian boy sustained bullet injuries in his leg during clashes that flared up in Tel Street between Palestinian anti-occupation youth and Israeli patrols. The injured boy was evacuated to the Rafidia Hospital.

The occupation army further raided Jenin’s southern town of Jabaa sparking fierce clashes in the area.

Palestinian youngster Jawdat Malaysha was shot and injured with rubber bullets in his foot. He was kidnapped by the occupation forces without treatment.

At the same time Israeli soldiers ransacked civilian homes and subjected the residents to intensive inspection.

Several Palestinians also choked on teargas after the IOF showered the area with randomly-discharged spates of teargas grenades and bullet fire.

The campaign culminated in the abduction of 52-year-old lawyer Ayed Marar and his son Ahmed aged 27 from their home in Badres town west of Ramallah. Both Ayed and his son were dragged to an unidentified destination by the occupation soldiers.

Arrests injuries reported in West Bank sweep by Israeli army

Tuesday 21-February-2017

A number of Palestinians were kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at daybreak Tuesday in assaults launched across West Bank provinces.

Eyewitnesses said Israeli military patrols rolled into Nablus’s western town of Tel in the northern West Bank and blew up a suspicious object.

The IOF further wreaked havoc on civilian homes and attacked the Palestinian protesters with live ammunition and teargas canisters sparking clashes in the area.

Palestinian citizen Kayed al-Hindi was kidnapped by the occupation soldiers in the assault.

Overnight the IOF stormed the area and kidnapped two Palestinian youths including an ex-prisoner. Both arrestees were released hours later following intensive questioning.

Another Palestinian youth—Adham al-Sha’er—was kidnapped by the Israeli forces from his family home in Berka town to the north of Nablus.

The IOF also stormed the northern West Bank province of Qalqilya and rummaged into Palestinian civilian homes.

The Israeli troops reportedly showered the area with randomly-discharged barrages of teargas canisters and subjected civilians to exhaustive interrogation.

At the same time the Israeli military forces broke into Tulkarem’s northern town of Zeita in the northern West Bank and cracked down on Palestinian civilians.

Reporting from the scene a PIC news correspondent said the IOF stormed the city in several military jeeps and sealed off the main access road to Zeita.

Several Palestinians choked on teargas which was randomly unleashed by the IOF across residential alleys.

The Palestinian anti-occupation protesters reacted by hurling stones at the Israeli patrols.

A few hours earlier heavily-armed occupation troops stormed Jenin’s western town of Kafr Koud in the northern West Bank and summoned Mahmoud Walid Ateiq to questioning after they broke into his family home.

Israeli army squads have meanwhile been spotted across the Nazareth Street and on the Jenin-Haifa thoroughfare.
