Several Palestinians were kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces at predawn time Tuesday in abduction sweeps rocking the West Bank.
The Israeli army claimed in a statement responsibility for the abduction of 26 Palestinians from the West Bank on claims of their involvement in anti-occupation activities.
PIC sources have learned that eight Hamas activists mostly ex-prisoners were kidnapped by the IOF from Nablus.
The occupation forces ravaged the home of Jihad Bani Maniyeh the Imam of Akreba’s local mosque east of Nablus and seized sums of money.
At the same time dozens of Israeli settlers attempted to storm the Laban al-Sharkiya town south of Nablus and terrorized civilians. The settlers yelled racist slogans calling for killing the Palestinians. Israeli patrols showed up in the area to protect the settlers.
Clashes also burst out at the main entrance to the Fawar refugee camp in al-Khalil where Israeli troops attacked Palestinian protesters with live rounds and rubber bullets resulting in several suffocation cases.
The IOF wreaked havoc on civilian homes in al-Khalil’s Old City.
Overnight 50-year-old Fawzi al-Fakhoury was kidnapped by the IOF from the city.
The IOF brutally quelled a candlelight vigil staged in al-Khalil city and attacked marchers with live ammunition and teargas canisters.
Youngster Yazid Awad was kidnapped by the IOF from al-Khalil’s northern town of Halhul and dragged to the Etzion detention center.
A general strike has been declared in the city to protest Israel’s simmering terrorism against the Palestinians and systematic killing of protesters at Gaza’s border.
Meanwhile the Israeli military cracked down on Palestinian protesters in the Nabi Saleh village in Ramallah sparking clashes in the area.
Israeli soldiers reportedly attacked Palestinian protesters with randomly-unleashed spates of bullet fire and teargas canisters. A number of Palestinians fainted due to heavy teargas inhalation.
In the meantime a Palestinian young man was kidnapped by the IOF from his family home in Jenin’s western town of Yamon.
