Arrests injuries reported in predawn sweep by Israeli army

A number of Palestinians were kidnapped and others injured by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at daybreak Tuesday in abduction sweeps rocking the West Bank.

Eight Israeli army patrols stormed the home of the slain Palestinian protester Samer Awad in Nablus’s southern town of Ourata at the crack of dawn and wreaked havoc on the building before they subjected the locals to field interrogation.

At the same time two Palestinian young men from Balata camp in Nablus were injured by Israeli snipers during clashes that broke out following a mass break-in by Israeli settlers into Joseph’s Tomb east of Nablus.

Overnight two Palestinian youths from the Marshoud family including an ex-prisoner were kidnapped by the IOF at Hawara checkpoint south of Nablus.

The occupation army further cracked down on Palestinians at a makeshift checkpoint set up near the main entrance to Jenin’s western town of Rumana.

Palestinian vehicles and civilians passing through the area have been made to endure intensive searches.

The IOF also stormed a carwash owned by the Palestinian citizen Muadh al-Ahmed before they cordoned off Palestinian olive groves.

A number of Palestinian youths were arrested and others injured at daybreak Wednesday after the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed West Bank provinces.

Violent clashes burst out east of Nablus shortly after the IOF broke into the area to secure a preplanned break-in by Israeli settlers into Joseph’s Tomb.

According to eyewitnesses fierce clashes rocked Amman Street and the northern entrance to Balata refugee camp.

The Israeli soldiers targeted the Palestinian anti-occupation youth with live rounds rubber bullets and teargas canisters.

A Palestinian youngster sustained bullet injuries in his head and was arrested by the occupation forces shortly afterwards. The Israeli forces prevented paramedics from reaching the wounded youth.

Another boy was treated for bullet wounds sustained in the clashes.

Three Palestinian youths including an injured boy were kidnapped by the IOF following an ambush set up by the Israeli troops near the main entrance to Balata camp.

Tension reached its zenith after hundreds of Israeli settlers stormed Joseph’s Tomb.

A number of Palestinian vehicles parked in the area were burned during the clashes. Palestinian firefighters showed up shortly after to extinguish the fires.

At the same time over 40 Israeli soldiers stormed Asira al-Shamaliya north of Nablus and wreaked havoc on the home of the Palestinian Rawajba family.

A flock of Israeli army jeeps rolled into Jenin’s southern town of Qabatiya in the northern occupied West Bank. Three Palestinians were kidnapped by the IOF from the area.

The occupation soldiers ransacked civilian homes and subjected the locals to intensive questioning.

A military checkpoint was pitched by the IOF near Qabatiya’s main thoroughfare blocking Palestinians’ access out of and into the area.

The occupation troops kidnapped the Palestinian ex-prisoner Mahmoud Ja’idi from his family home in Qalqilya province in the northern West Bank.

The campaign culminated in the abduction of a number of Palestinians from Tulkarem. The occupation army claimed weapons were detected in the city.
