The West Bank at daybreak Tuesday witnessed a series of attacks carried out by Israeli settlers on Palestinian property while other campaigns were launched by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) into different provinces where a number of Palestinians were arrested.
The PIC reporter said that the IOF arrested the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine leader Husam al-Rozza after raiding his house in Nablus.
Local sources reported that a large Israeli force stormed al-Makhfiya neighborhood west of Nablus and arrested al-Rozza who previously accused Israel of killing his daughter while she was in Ramallah in March.
Eyewitnesses told the PIC reporter that violent clashes erupted between Palestinian youths and IOF soldiers after the latter broke into Joseph’s Tomb in Nablus.
Other clashes broke out in the eastern area of Nablus city after scores of Israeli settlers broke into Tal Balata archaeological site.
Anti-settlement official Ghassan Daghlas said that a group of Israeli settlers at dawn sneaked into al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya town south of Nablus punctured the tires of 30 vehicles spray-painted hostile slogans that have the name of Price Tag gang on the walls of Palestinian houses destroyed the gate of a mosque and attempted to burn it.
This attack came a few days after a Price Tag group burned a mosque in Aqraba town south of Nablus.
In another context a Palestinian youth was arrested while many others were injured during clashes in Burqin town west of Jenin.
Local sources told the PIC reporter that dozens of IOF soldiers raided the town and arrested the Palestinian citizen Khaled Qiblawi after raiding and searching his house.
The sources added that violent clashes broke out in the town during which the IOF soldiers heavily fired tear gas canisters.
Local sources from Jenin reported that a group of Israeli settlers attacked a Palestinian citizen who was riding his car near Silat ad-Dhahr town smashed the car’s windows and attempted to assault him but he fled the area.
Meanwhile in Qalqilya the PIC reporter said that the IOF arrested three minors during a raid and search campaign launched in Azzun town at dawn.
