Palestinian citizens on Saturday evening warded off extremist Jewish settlers as they tried to attack their homes in Asira al-Qibliya village south of Nablus.
Eyewitnesses said that settlers escorted by soldiers spread near Palestinian homes in the village and tried to attack them but local residents showed up and clashed with them.
They added that the residents managed to force the settlers to withdraw to the illegal settlement of Yitzhar.
Palestinian villages in southern Nablus are exposed to attacks and violations almost on a daily basis by hordes of settlers who receive protection from the Israeli occupation army.
