Atallah Hanna Archbishop of Sebastia from the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem said that the Palestinians will not bow to the US pressure and will never give up their constants even if Washington’s aid is completely halted.
In an exclusive interview with the PIC Hanna said that the US constant attempts to liquidate the Palestinian cause will not succeed.
He noted that the US administration has stepped up its pressure on the Palestinian people including recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital cutting aid to the Palestinian Authority and UNRWA and closing the Palestine Liberation Organization’s office in Washington.
After 25 years of “absurd negotiations” Hanna believes that the Palestinian people are now more aware of the conspiracies targeting their cause particularly the Deal of the Century.
“Palestine is not for sale at public auction” Archbishop Hanna said stressing that Jerusalem is the eternal capital of Palestine and that the right of return is sacred and non-negotiable for the Palestinian people.
Hanna called on Palestinians to end the internal division and achieve national unity to be able to stop all conspiracies plotted against the Palestinian cause and protect their Islamic and Christian holy sites against settlement and Judaization.
