RAMALLAH (PIC)– The exiled Jerusalemite MP Ahmed Attoun has said that recent Israeli measures in occupied Jerusalem were meant as a test balloon before embarking on serious steps in the holy city.
Attoun who was banished from the holy city to the West Bank said that Israel might partition the holy Aqsa Mosque similar to the Ibrahimi mosque or demolish it to build the alleged Jewish temple on its ruins.
He told Quds Press that the draft law announcing Jerusalem the capital of the Jewish people along with other measures on the ground were meant to impose new de facto conditions and to pave the way for building the alleged temple.
There is no difference between the repeated storming of the Aqsa mosque on the part of Jewish settlers and the consecutive decisions of the Israeli occupation municipality the MP said describing both as “arms of the Israeli establishment”.
Attoun asked the Arab and Islamic countries to assume their responsibilities toward Jerusalem and the Aqsa and to seriously stand up to the Israeli schemes against the Islamic holy shrines before “it becomes too late”.
