The Palestine Right to Return Coalition al-Awda center called for the cancellation of the Israel-Africa Summit slated to be held next October. The center claims that the summit helps Israeli occupation authorities to cover the Israeli violations of human rights practiced against the Palestinian people.
In a letter addressed to the Embassy of Togo in London Awda center said that the summit which seeks cooperation with a number of African countries in security and development fields will form a setback to the African historic positions towards the Palestinian Question.
The letter also urged Togo’s government to take a more harmonious position with the African Union’s previous standing that supported the Palestinians’ right in determining their fate and refusing settlement Gaza siege and occupation.
