The Islamic Awqaf (endowment) Department in Occupied Jerusalem decided to close all the mosques in the city and to perform Friday prayers at the gates of al-Aqsa Mosque which have been closed since last Friday.
In a press conference at Jerusalem court on Wednesday the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Muhammad Hussein said that Palestinians will not accept Israeli measures at al-Aqsa. All Palestinians refuse the changes on the status quo in Occupied Jerusalem and al-Aqsa Mosque which have been imposed since last Friday he highlighted.
Preacher of al-Aqsa Mosque Sheikh Ekrema Sabri for his part stressed that Palestinian worshipers at al-Aqsa will not accept to pass through metal detectors installed by Israeli police at the entrances of the holy site.
