Husam Abul-Rab undersecretary of the awqaf and religious affairs ministry has warned that Israel’s closure of Palestinian institutions in Occupied Jerusalem is part of its efforts to liquidate the Palestinian presence in the holy city.
In press remarks on Wednesday Abul-Rab has accused the Israeli political echelon of blessing such practices which entails international action to address this serious situation.
He said that the closure of institutions and the repeated break-ins at the Aqsa Mosque by Jewish settlers were all aimed at imposing new faits accomplis in Jerusalem.
The official stressed the need for a clear Arab and Islamic position against these illegal Israeli practices in order to protect the Arab and Muslim nations’ religious historical and cultural right to the holy city.
