Member of the Hamas political bureau Husam Badran said on Friday that the Movement’s visit to Moscow came as part of the continued old and stable relationship between the two parties.
Speaking to the PIC reporter Badran pointed out that the Russia visit confirms the Movement’s important position in the region as one of the most important actors in the Palestinian arena.
The Russia visit reflects Hamas’s policy of openness to all international and regional parties with the aim of serving the Palestinian people’s interests and raising the Palestinian narrative he added.
On the other hand he renewed Hamas’s rejection of all forms of normalization and cooperation with Israel.
Earlier this week a high-level Hamas delegation headed to the Russian capital Moscow to meet Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov along with other Russian officials.
