Hamas spokesman Husam Badran has strongly denounced the Palestinian Authority (PA) security forces for recent assaults on citizens in the West Bank saying their practices overstepped the red lines.
In a press release on Tuesday Badran slammed in particular the PA forces for raiding the house of ex-detainee Naser Habaiba and assaulting his family.
The spokesman said that such serious violations placed question marks over the seriousness of the PA about ending the national division and its support for the current reconciliation efforts.
He expressed his belief that the Palestinian citizens in the West Bank do not sense any positive atmosphere being provided for the national reconciliation efforts in light of the violations committed everyday by the PA security apparatuses against them.
