Member of Hamas’s political bureau Husam Badran has held the Israeli occupation government fully responsible for the incitement campaign against Ahlam al-Tamimi an ex-detainee who lives in Jordan.
In a telephone conversation with Tamimi Badran expressed his Movement’s solidarity with her and her family stressing that the Palestinian people and the Arab and Muslim nations know well how to protect their freedom fighters against any threats.
Badran considered the threats being made against Tamimi “cheap extortion by the Zionist lobby against Jordan for its respectable position on this issue when its court already rejected her extradition.
The Hamas official urged Jordan to continue its role in protecting Tamimi calling on the Jordanian people and all justice-loving people to launch an all-out solidarity campaign in support of the Palestinian people and their national figures.
Last week seven Republican Congress members sent a letter to the Jordanian embassy in Washington threatening sanctions on the Kingdom if it did not extradite Jordanian citizen Tamimi originally from Palestine to the US.
