First Deputy Speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) Ahmed Bahar stressed on Friday Palestinians’ determination to protect their land and holy sites.
Speaking during the khutbah (sermon) of Eid al-Adha (Muslims’ Greater Eid) in Gaza Bahar said: “We are deeply rooted in our land strongly attached to our holy sites intensely committed to the anti-occupation struggle.”
Bahar called on the Palestinians to combine forces until the national liberation dream comes true.
He called on the Palestinian Authority chaired by Mahmoud Abbas to cease security cooperation with the Israeli occupation.
Bahar urged Muslims and Arabs to heal internal rifts wishing that Eid would mark a new turn for the better in the region.
