Bahar: The occupation has no place or legitimacy in Palestine

Wednesday 30-November-2022

Ahmed Bahar acting speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) has reiterated that Palestine from its sea to its river belongs to the Palestinian people.

“There is no place or legitimacy for the Israeli occupation state on the Palestinian land” Bahar added during a PLC session held on Wednesday in Gaza on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian people.

“We assure the Israelis and their new government which has yet to be formed that the Palestinian people and their valiant resistance who has always been steadfast and thwarted all your racist plans are capable of defeating your new fascist government and standing in the face of its schemes” Bahar stressed.

The lawmaker paid tribute to the Palestinian people across the occupied territories for teaching the occupation state “strong lessons about the meanings of pride and dignity” in their struggle to defend Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque

He expressed his belief that Israeli premier-designate Benjamin Netanyahu and extremist politician Itamar Ben-Gvir would face eventually disgrace and humiliation.

“Every day is a day of solidarity with our people and our cause in the face of Israel’s terrorism and its violations of the international and humanitarian laws” he underlined.

He also appreciated the events and rallies that were staged recently in some Arab and European countries in solidarity with the Palestinian people and hailed the Brazilian parliament for holding a special session on Tuesday on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian people.

“We sent letters to different parliaments parliamentary unions and international organizations around the world in which we highlighted that the Palestinian resistance is a legitimate right enshrined in international laws and resolutions and called for translating the supportive decisions and positions on the Palestinian cause into action” Bahar said.
