First deputy speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council Ahmad Bahar on Monday sent two urgent cables to the secretary general of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Yousef bin Ahmed al-Othaimeen and secretary general of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit urging them to intensify efforts to reverse the US decision.
Bahar expressed his appreciation for the endeavors made by the two organizations to overturn the US president Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and move the US embassy there.
He called for continued official and popular efforts to force the US to backtrack on its unjust decision and wished both the OIC and Arab League to succeed in serving the causes of the Arab and Islamic nations especially the Palestinian cause.
