Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) First Deputy Speaker Dr. Ahmad Bahar called for national unity in support of the cause of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails where they face brutal violations.
In a sit-in organized in Gaza on Sunday by Detainees Ministry in solidarity with Palestinian prisoners Bahar said that Israel has no choice but to agree on a new prisoner swap deal referring to the existence of Israeli soldiers detained at the hands of Palestinian resistance.
For his part Baha al-Madhoun Deputy Minister of Detainees and Ex-detainees Ministry said that the Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) target Palestinian captives in consistence with a systematic policy set by Israeli Knesset in addition to the intelligence and security apparatuses.
Madhoun charged the IOA with responsibility for any escalation that is likely to occur soon inside or even outside Israeli jails.
