The Deputy Speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council Ahmed Bahar called Friday for an Arab popular action to defend al-Aqsa Mosque and occupied Jerusalem.
During the re-opening ceremony of Aisha mosque in Gaza city Bahar said that “defending occupied Jerusalem is not only a Palestinian duty but the entire Arab nation shares this responsibility.”
He pointed to the Israeli attempts to wipe out the Islamic landmarks in al-Aqsa Mosque and the occupied city.
He also stressed the Palestinian people’s strong determination to defend the holy shine and all holy sites in Palestine.
“We will continue our resistance path till the liberation of all Palestinian land and the release of our prisoners from Israeli jails” he underlined.
On the other hand Bahar said that re-opening Aisha mosque after two years of its destruction during Israel’s 2014 war on Gaza proved the Palestinian people’s strong determination.
