The acting speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council Dr. Ahmed Bahar hailed on Saturday the Venezuelan National Assembly for voting unanimously on a resolution dubbed the “Agreement of Solidarity with the State and People of Palestine” on the occasion of the 74th Nakba anniversary.
“Approving of a resolution that supports the Palestinian issue reflects the honest positions of Venezuela regarding the just Palestinian cause” Bahar said in a press statement calling on the world’s parliaments to adopt similar resolutions that condemn the Israeli brutal crimes against the Palestinians.
Bahar affirmed that such positions and resolutions facilitate the prosecution of the Israeli brutal crimes and pressure it to stop its brutal crimes against the Palestinians.
Earlier on Thursday the Venezuela-Palestine parliamentary friendship group underlined that Israel had worked for 74 years on stealing the Palestinian lands describing the Nakba as a “catastrophe against humanity that has been done by the fascist Zionist movement against an entire people.”
The agreement which slammed Israel’s colonialist and criminal practices had called for enforcing the Palestinian people’s national rights especially their right to return to their country.
