Bahar urges parliaments to hold special sessions in solidarity with prisoners

GAZA (PIC)– Dr. Ahmed Bahar the acting speaker of the PLC called on Arab and Islamic parliaments to hold special sessions in solidarity with the Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails and to pressure their governments to take decisive action against the Israeli occupation authority for kidnapping of more 11000 Palestinians including women children and patients.

In a statement issued on the occasion of the Palestinian prisoner day and copy of which was received by the PIC Dr. Bahar said that the IOA persists in its arbitrary policy of kidnapping Palestinians especially lawmakers which violates all international norms humanitarian law and the fourth Geneva convention.

He appealed to the UN international humanitarian organizations the organization of Islamic conference and the Arab League to assume their responsibilities towards Palestinian citizens imprisoned in IOA jails.

The acting speaker held the IOA fully responsible for the lives of prisoners in light of its policy of deliberate medical neglect practiced against them.

In the same context the Salahuddin Brigades the armed wing of the popular resistance committees affirmed in a statement received by the PIC that the liberation of Palestinian prisoners and Arabs is a high priority for its fighters everywhere.

The Brigades vowed to use all means possible to kidnap Israeli soldiers in order to swap them for Palestinian and Arab prisoners.

The Brigades called on the world’s free people the international community and humanitarian organizations to pressure the IOA to release Palestinian prisoners and let them go back to their families.
