Bahr condemns Israeli kidnapping of MP Tirawi

Wednesday 30-May-2007

GAZA (PIC)– Dr. Ahmed Bahr the acting PLC speaker strongly condemned the kidnapping of MP Jamal Tirawi the spokesman of Fatah parliamentary bloc in the West Bank by the IOF troops at dawn Tuesday.

Baher said that the IOF troops “through their barbaric daily attacks against the Palestinian people are aiming to break the Palestinians’ will and determination by using all illegal means; However the Palestinian people have always been solid and will never deviate from their national objectives in order to gain independence and will remain united against the Zionist enemy which kills people and destroys stones and trees.”

The second acting PLC speaker Dr. Hassan Khraishe for his part denounced the kidnapping of 44 Palestinian MPs including PLC Speaker Dr. Aziz Dwaik by the IOF troops and taking them hostages considering it a part of the patent Zionist scheme to disrupt the PLC and to destroy the Palestinian political system.

Khraishe confirmed that the closure of the PLC offices in the West Bank by the IOF troops and the assassination of Palestinian MPs “is a deliberate policy seeking to break the will and steadfastness of our people against the Israeli invasive plots.”

He also called upon the parliaments in the world and all democracy and freedom-loving peoples “to condemn the Zionist violations and brutal aggression against Palestinian people and to exert all forms of pressure on the IOA to stop this aggression.”
