The Balata Battalion has warned Israel of dire consequences in the event it allowed Knesset members to visit Joseph’s Tomb east of the West Bank city of Nablus.
In a press statement on Tuesday the Battalion a previously unknown grouping of Palestinian resistance fighters warned that Israel “ventures uncalculated risks” if it allows Knesset members to perform Talmudic rituals at Joseph’s Tomb.
It declared its readiness to confront the Israeli raids at all costs adding that it will persist along the path paved by the martyrs.
Earlier today Avi Blot the Israeli commander of the West Bank division approved Knesset members’ visit to Joseph’s Tomb on Tuesday night to attend a political event at the invitation of the head of the Samaria Regional Council Yossi Dagan.
