Hamas’s representative in Lebanon Ali Baraka denounced on Saturday the UN Secretary General António Guterres’s condemnation of the stabbing attack carried out on Friday in Halmish settlement to the west of Ramallah.
Baraka said in a press statement that Guterres ignores the ongoing Israeli violations against Jerusalem and al-Aqsa Mosque.
He stressed that Guterres does not have the right to condemn an anti-occupation attack in a settlement built by force on an occupied land in accordance with the international law.
Three Israeli settlers were killed and a fourth was injured in a stabbing attack carried out in Halmish settlement by the Palestinian youth Omar al-Abed who was moderately injured before being detained.
Abed said in a will written before the attack that his attack came in response to the Israeli closure of al-Aqsa Mosque.
