Hamas representative in Lebanon Ali Baraka on Thursday discussed with the Norwegian Ambassador to Beirut Lynn Lindh latest Palestinian developments and the conditions of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon.
Baraka underlined that his Movement is working on achieving the Palestinian reconciliation and acquainted the ambassador on the conditions of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon. He stressed the importance to put an end to their suffering and affirmed Hamas’s keenness on maintaining security of the refugee camps and boosting the Palestinian-Lebanese relations.
The ambassador for her part pointed to the efforts being exerted by her country’s government toward ending the Palestinian internal division and forming a Palestinian national unity government.
She also affirmed her country’s support for the UNRWA and its budget in order to continue its role of relieving the Palestinian refugees and offering them job opportunities. The Norwegian diplomat stressed the necessity to maintain security at the Palestinian refugee camps as well as to alleviate the suffering of those refugees in Lebanon.
