Representative of Hamas Movement in Lebanon Ali Baraka received a delegation of the new Nahr al-Bared Camp’s Assembly. He listened to their complaints about the delay in the payment of compensations for the damages resulting from clashes that erupted in the camp in 2007.
The delegation included head of the Assembly Hatem al-Asadi along with his deputy Ahmad Sharaf as well as the media officer Hamza Tarabeh. The meeting was attended as well by the Hamas political leader Mashhour Abdulhalim and Hamas’s official of political relations in Lebanon Ziyad Hassan.
Baraka affirmed the support of his Movement to Nahr al-Bared’s refugees especially with regards to their demands on paying the Kuwaiti grant and offering all of the compensations. He also promised to contact competent authorities for this regard.
