Head of Hamas’s national relations department Jasser al-Barghouthi has condemned Israeli security minister Omer Barlev’s recent call for killing the Palestinians describing his remarks in this regard as “recognition of the occupation’s criminal nature that is based on murder and aggression.”
“Such remarks reflect the occupation’s insistence on triggering the situation through shedding more Palestinian blood and the recent assassinations in Jenin and Nablus are nothing but a practical application of the occupation’s racist convictions” Barghouthi said in a statement on Wednesday.
He also said that such remarks confirm that all forms of resistance are the only way to deter the Israeli occupation and protect the Palestinian people.
The Hamas official urged the Palestinian Authority to stop its security cooperation with the occupation state. “Without this futile policy this enemy would not have been able to storm our cities kill our youths demolish our homes and seize our land.”
