Belgian MP for the Workers’ Party Nabil Bukele demanded his government and the European Union take a clear stance and condemn crimes against humanity violent repression and illegal occupation of Palestine by the Israeli apartheid state.
“Extremist settlers protected by the Israeli occupation army stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque with more than 1000 Palestinian worshipers in the middle of Ramadan. The worshipers were brutally attacked with rubber bullets and batons” the MP said.
“The extremists again organized the march of flags in Jerusalem the same Israeli provocations that led to the war in May last year” he added.
The MP said that Israeli occupation forces killed 14 Palestinians including several women and children and raided the Jenin refugee camp several times over the past ten days leading to the arrest and wounding of dozens.
Bukele pointed out “Despite all these Israeli violations we only hear from the Belgian government and the European Union weak statements of concern.”
