RABAT (PIC)– Morocco’s head of government Abdelilah Benkirane met Monday with the Palestinians in Europe Conference delegation that is currently visiting Morocco.
Head of the delegation Majed al-Zeer told Quds Press that the delegation briefed during the meeting the Moroccan Prime Minister of Palestinians in Europe Conference experience and role in support of the Palestinian issue.
“We have also discussed the role of the Moroccan King government and people in support of the Palestinian cause” Al-Zeer continued hailing the outstanding support of the Moroccan community in Europe.
Al-Zeer pointed out that the 14th Palestinians in Europe Conference is to be held in the Swedish city of Malmo on May 07 2016.
The delegation also includes the Secretary-General of the Palestinians in Europe Conference Adel Abdullah and the foreign relations official Ziad Aloul.
The Palestinians in Europe Conference was held for the first time in London (2003) then followed by conferences in Berlin Vienna Malmo Rotterdam Copenhagen Paris and others.
This conference is now a major annual event in Europe and has been running successively for thirteen years. It has successfully brought together thousands of Palestinians in support of the just cause of Palestine and their right of return.
The conference is usually attended by participants from all over the European continent representatives of Palestinian associations institutions and organizations both from within Europe and beyond. Additionally the attendance included a number of official and public figures; notwithstanding academicians artists journalists and leaders of Palestinian civic society bodies in Sweden and across the continent.
