Zaher Birawi head of the International Committee for Breaking the Siege on Gaza affirmed on Saturday that Palestinians abroad need to restore hope activate their roles in the national project and preserve their national constants and legitimate rights.
Birawi called in a statement for active participation in the popular conference for Palestinians abroad which will be held in Istanbul on 25th February 2017 and will last for two days. The conference will be attended by a group of Palestinian national figures coming from more than 20 countries he said.
He pointed out that the conference aims to launch a popular movement to ensure an active and real role for Palestinians abroad that is based on joint cooperation between the Palestinian spectra and focuses on the national constants.
He added that the conference seeks to invest the energies and experiences of Palestinians in the diaspora and engage them in the national work especially at this critical stage in the history of the Palestinian struggle which requires unity and synergy to check the trend of marginalization and concessions.
Birawi invited Palestinians all around the world to attend the conference regardless of their political affiliations and geographical locations and considered their participation a national duty amid the great challenges facing the Palestinian cause on the local regional and international levels.
