EL-BIREH (PIC)– A spokesman for the Islamic bloc in Birzeit University has declared that the students would go on hunger strike on Saturday.
He said in a press release on Friday that the students would continue in their sit-in inside the university campus until all their demands are met.
He said that the students would embark on new protest steps denying press reports that they had accepted to end their sit-in.
The sit-in started on Thursday 23/2 to protest a campaign of arrests and summonses in their lines on the part of the Palestinian Authority’s preventive security apparatus at the entrance to the university. The students said they want an end to the arrests and summonses.
